God is Love

Today is Father's Day. I don’t know what type of relationship you had or have with your father. But no matter how good or bad our earthly father’s are or were, we get in trouble when we read verses like 1 John 4:8 that read “God is love” and equate the love of God (our Heavenly Father) with the love that we received from our earthly fathers. Today we’re going to continue to ask the question “Who is God” and look at what the bible means when it says that “God is Love”, and that means for not only for how we receive God's love, but how we are called to extend love to others.
