We're Glad You're Here
The Light KC is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We don't want to just go through religious motions, rather we want to seek an encounter with Jesus through His Holy Spirit. We see how Jesus brings healing and wholeness to our lives, putting lives on mission for the purposes He has for us. When you visit, we believe you will find way more than just friendly faces, great coffee, and a beautiful building. We know that everything changes with just one encounter with Jesus.
What To Expect
WHAT DO I WEAR?
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible to receive all that God has for you each Sunday so come dressed however you feel most at ease.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL SERVICE LIKE?
A typical service will last about 75 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary music that is led by our worship team. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to come at 9:30 am for a complementary light breakfast, fellowship, and meeting new people.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE FOR MY KIDS?
We have programming where your kids will be led to a fun worship and teaching experience for all respective ages. All kids worship is done by our amazing servant leaders and all leaders are background checked and trained to teach their respective class.
WHERE DO I GO WHEN I ARRIVE?
We are located 10001 S 88th Street in Overland Park. We have ample parking with our main entrance on the north side of the building. You will be greeted by one of our amazing hospitality volunteers that will point you to our cafe' where we have a complementary light breakfast at 9:15 AM. We have a designated kids ministry check in area off the cafe on the west hallway. Signs and hospitality volunteers will point you in the right direction!
