At The Light KC, we believe in the power of investing in the next generation. Our Kids Ministry is designed to help children grow in their faith, build strong friendships, and discover God's love in a safe and fun environment.
Through engaging, Bible-centered lessons and creative activities, we make learning about Jesus both exciting and meaningful. Our team of passionate and caring volunteers is dedicated to nurturing each child’s spiritual journey, ensuring that they not only learn about God but also feel valued and loved.

Sunday Mornings

Elementary

1st - 5th Grade check in at the KidsMin Welcome Desk then head upstairs for a large group time of worship and lesson introduction. They will remain in that room for their small group lesson time and activities.

PreK-K

Nursery

Age 3 - Kindergarten check in at the KidsMin Welcome Desk then head upstairs for a large group time of worship and lesson introduction. They will then be escorted downstairs to their classroom for their small group lesson and activities.
Age 0-2 check in downstairs at the KidsMin Welcome Desk for a time of Bible based interactive play.

Mission

We aim to build a strong foundation of faith that will stay with children for a lifetime. We partner with parents to create a supportive environment where children can grow in their understanding of God’s Word, learn to live out their faith, and become the next generation of leaders for Christ.

What to Expect

Engaging Bible Lessons: 
We teach biblical truths in a way that is age-appropriate and easy to understand, helping children grow in their relationship with God.

From games and crafts to music and drama, children will experience hands-on activities that help bring the lessons to life.

Special Events: 
Throughout the year, we host fun events like family nights, Summer water events, and holiday celebrations to strengthen our community and share the love of Christ.

June KidsMin Study

Fire up the ovens! We're headed to the kitchen to bake up something special. Kitchens
are incredible places where the most basic ingredients are transformed into delicious
treats. Our faith can be a lot like that, too. In this 5-week series, kids will follow the life of
the prophet Elijah, whose ministry involved a lot of fire and bread as he formed a special 
relationship with God. They'll learn how knowing God helps me find what I need, hears 
my voice, guides me when I'm scared, comforts me, and is always with me are all the 
ingredients they need to get fired up!
